Born in Westmoreland 1976, Norman Vickers grew up hearing sound systems from within his mother’s womb. The melodious and thundering sounds of Daco Tone High Power could be literally heard miles away and his parents lived just blocks away from the source.

From in his toddler stage, his parent’s hassock was his stage and any object within reach that possessed a handle was the mic. Aunties, and older cousins were never bored as entertainment was consistent until bedtime.

Not wanting too much influence from the dancehall vibes to curve his early learning stage his mother took a job at Munro College when he was four years old, and residence made in Munro, St Elizabeth at the peak of the Santa Cruz mountain. However, that did not deter his love for dancehall reggae music, recording favorite radio programs and collecting dancehall cassettes was a popular pastime in prep school days. His greatest challenge was not being able to mix the songs he liked the way he wanted to for his cassette collection as he did not possess a double cassette deck and there was only one cassette player in the house.

At age 12 in form 3 while attending Munro College he finally received a boom box radio / cassette player, however neither had audio input/output jacks. Not ever listening to the AM a bright idea came to mind. Why not make that into an input and utilize speaker b outputs on the other. Long story short, after constant questioning as to the reasoning why a brand new boom box should have a loom of wires sticking out the back (LOL), mixing was born.

A short while after the record collection began and KillaSonic was formed. Sound Klashes were a common weekend past time with his bonified bredrin Martin from King P High Power also in the same high school year group. Norman went on to study Computer Science at the College of Arts Science & Technology in JA W.I. and migrated to the US to further his education in same field. He was always willing to string up KSonic and play at family functions or for close friends.

Word eventually spread to associates and clients. Soon KSonic was often hired to play at Anniversaries, Birthday Parties etc… Today Norman operates a web-based store nvickers.com specializing in high performance enterprise grade Work Stations and an IT Consultant primarily for Pharmaceutical Companies. However after dark, KSonic is always fully charged and ready to roll out tunes for your listening ear.
